Accordion House by 24h Architecture

Accordion house is an extension to an original cabin from the 19th century located in Sweden in a nature reserve. The cabin can literally adjust itself to its environment depending on the weather condition or the number of occupants. In the winter it's a cocoon compact with a double skin against the cold. During the summer the building can unfold its wings for extra space. Traditional cedar tiles from Canada were used a a roofing material. Source: 24h-architecture
