Raimondo D'Aronco was born in Germona Del Friuli, Italy in 1857. He spent his childhood in Graz, Austria and studied architecture in Venice. He was one of the main enthusiasts in Art Nouveau architecture in Italy. He contributed to the reconstruction of Istanbul, Turkey after the earthquake of 1891.
