FOUR MEISSEN (MARCOLINI) COFFEE-CUPS AND SAUCERS CIRCA 1780, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND STAR MARKS, IRON-RED INVENTORY NUMBERS Painted by Johann Georg Loehnig with allegorical vignettes of children, young ladies and youths at various pursuits, within oval two-colour gilt oval cartouches festooned with tooled roses, below gilt interlaced ovolo borders and gilt line rims (some flaking to gilding) (4) Provenance Royal House of Saxony, Dresden (one cup with inventory number I.A.97. above later overpainted P.E.1557. mark in iron-red, another with I.A.765. inventory number above later overpainted P.E.1558
