This model Piccolino designed by David Palterer, with its legs offset at 45 degree angles, goes back to the so called "fauteuil de bureau", a desk chair which was invented in the 18th century in France. What they share is the semicircular backrest which connects with the armrests in a single piece. The across the corner positioned frame and frontally placed leg enable a comfortable position when sitting for a long time. Award: Good Design Athenaeum Chicago, 2003
