PAIR OF 'FAMILLE-ROSE' LANDSCAPE DISHES DAOGUANG SEAL MARKS AND PERIOD measurements note diameter 7 3/4 in., 19.7 cm DESCRIPTION each with gilt scalloped rims, one interior painted with a scene of four scholars walking to a pavilion situated in a mountainous landscape, a four character inscription in regular script magu xiantan ('Goddess of Longevity's fairyland'), the other featuring a bridge on an inlet with figures on footbridges and boats, the top with a four-character inscription donghu yeyue ('night moon at the east lake'), picked out in green, yellow, blue and pink enamels, each exterior with iron-red bats, iron-red seal mark to the base (2)
