The circular case flanked by a maenad and Cupid on a marble plinth applied with a plaque depicting bacchanalian putti and flanked by masks, raised on spool feet, the circular enamel dial with Arabic numerals and having date and day indicators, inscribed Lepaute Paris, also inscribed below VI, G. Merlet, the twin train movement with outside count wheel striking on a bell. height 20 1/2in (52cm) Circa 1800
