A CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE-ROSE PUNCH BOWL CIRCA 1735-40 painted around the exterior with a continuous scene of crowing and confronting cocks, a hen and two chicks, a bird and butterfly in flight and a pair of Chinese pheasants perched on flowering branches, all amidst flowering plants and rocks beneath a gold Y-diaper border around the rim, the interior with a cock crowing on a rock amidst peonies and other flowers and fruit beneath a pink cell diaper border around the rim reserved with six alternating floral and Chinese riverscape panels. Restored.
