BERLIN GREEN-GROUND IMPERIAL PORTRAIT CABINET-CUP AND SAUCER CIRCA 1812, BLUE SCEPTRE MARKS, INCISED 3 TO CUP AND INDISTINCT INCISED MARK TO SAUCER The flared cup with a gilt loop and swan's neck handle, the front painted en grisaille with a bust-length portrait of Alexander I half-turned to the left within a gilt oval cartouche, reserved on a central band of gilt berried laurel, the centre of the saucer inscribed ALEXANDER I. within a similar border, the interior of the cup richly-gilt (cup with some wear to gilding of interior)
