A MEISSEN JADE-GREEN-GROUND BALUSTER COFFEE-POT AND COVER CIRCA 1735, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK With a bearded mask spout, wishbone handle moulded with scales and a shell thumbpiece all enriched in colours, painted in the Kakiemon palette, one side with pagodas and fences among flowers issuing from rockwork, the other with flowers issuing from rockwork, within ogival reserves, the domed cover with similar reserves below a knop finial, the footrim, rim of cover and finial enriched in gilding (two slight chips to upper rim) 7 in. (19 cm.) high
