A BERLIN BALUSTER COFFEE-POT AND COVER CIRCA 1775-80, UNDERGLAZE BLUE SCEPTRE AND INDISTINCT MARK, IMPRESSED K With a scroll-moulded handle and spout enriched with gilt fronds, the body painted en camaïeu rose with putti holding doves and fruiting vine frolicking among clouds, below a broad yellow ozier-moulded border gilt with panels of meandering leaves, the domed cover similarly painted with vignettes of putti below a bud finial (replacement finial, restored rim chip to cover, shallow chip to upper rim of coffee-pot, some rubbing to gilding) 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high
