France has for centuries known silversmiths to create silverware and tableware of exceptional beauty and undeniable quality. These artisans have more often than not been rather audacious and innovative designers. Such was the case for such celebrated names as Robert-Joseph Auguste, C. Odiot, Aucoc, Bointaburet, Tetard and Puiforcat among many others. In the 21st century it would appear that this longstanding tradition still has an adherent in Richard Lauret who has created his own line of cutlery and tableware with lines that are as contemporary as they're classic.
MISE EN BOUCHE, ANTINEA, Stoneware tray (butterdish or jam pot), teaspoon
Lauret launched Lauret Studio in 2009. All of the work that he produces there is achieved with respect for the three basic values which have always been the cornerstone of luxury craftsmanship in the French tradition: creativity, exclusivity, and "savoir-faire."
Lauret Studio offers a line of butterdishes, jam pots and cheese domes all drawn with rarefied and elegant lines. These beautiful objects are custom made in France in silver plated bronze, silver, and gold plated silver. They can all be coordinated with a wide array of silverware of the same quality.
Lauret Sudio has produced a re-edition of the silverware line that originally had been designed by Richard Lauret for the well-known manufacturer Roux-Marquiand. These services exist in a number of different patterns: Bamboo, Isadora, Metropolis, Montgolfière, New Hedera, Plume, Ruban, Sonia, Villa d'Este. They can be ordered, according to taste, in silver-plated bronze (35/42 microns), pure silver, or silver and gold plated bronze.
