Danemark, country of design

Danes enjoy speaking of themselves as a nation of design, the design of everyday life that respects the principles of simplicity and functionality which in turn lend to it an aura of timelessness. NORM, an architectural firm founded in 2008 by Kasper Ronn and Bjerre Poulsen, demonstrate for us here the attractions of the Danish style.

Fredensbourg House

The interior decoration of this light-filled house was completed recently by NORM. The simplicity of the lines, the limited choice of colors (primarily white/beige tones), the modern and accessible accoutrements, all speak of the youthful spirit of the Danish style.

The natural style

An all white kitchen that bows to the shrine of nature.

Minimalism

This bedroom designed by NORM, although reduced to bare essentials, remains esthetically seductive.

Two works of art and this little bedroom is spoken for.

Katrine Martensen-Larsen

In a style slightly less rarefied this house, the interior of which was designed by Katrine Martensen-Larsen, illustrates well the timelessness of Danish style.

This kitchen was designed by Katrine Martensen-Larsen.
